Presidential CandidatesThe Libertarian Party has run a candidate for President every four years since 1972. Our 2020 candidate will be nominated at our national convention coming up in May. There are quite a few candidates seeking this nomination, and 13 of them will appear on the March primary ballot. You will be able to participate in that presidential primary vote if you are registered to vote either as a Libertarian or as an independent (referred to on official forms as "no party preference", previously referred to as "decline to state").Local Non-Partisan RacesMany cities and districts in this area will be holding elections later in 2020. These elections are non-partisan, so no party labels will appear by candidate names on the ballot, but many Libertarians have run for such offices in the past and some have been elected.Perhaps you would be interested in running for such an office? If so, let us know. |
